This is the home of the HealthVault ecosystem wiki, a site to facilitate the direct exchange of technical information and documentation amongst HealthVault application partners, device partners and Microsoft to improve interoperability and cross-application user scenarios.  The better HealthVault partners can work together the more they all benefit.  Data written to HealthVault is most useful when other partners can read and understand it, and vice versa-- if you're reading data, you want other data producers to know how you are reading it in order to ensure they write it in a way you understand.  This wiki is intended to facilitate the direct exchange of documentation and information to meet those needs.

News

We'll be getting the outline and initial content of the wiki set up over the next couple days.  Please bear with us while we get things ready.  Once we set up the initial structure we'll be encouraging live partners to contribute, in order to improve the value of their HealthVault integrations.  Partners who write data can provide information to make it easier to read for partners who read data, and partners who read data can find out more information about the data they'll be reading.

In the (very cool) diagram below, we want to ensure that each of the players has the opportunity to let everyone else know what they are doing (and how), so that we can all work better together.

Disclaimer: like all wikis, content on this site should be considered a work in progress, and unofficial.  While all contributors, HealthVault included, are expected to provide the most accurate information available, at times there may be mistakes or out of date information present.  As this is a collaboration, errors should be largely self-correcting and clean themselves up quickly; nevertheless, appropriate caution should be exercised.  HealthVault cannot make any guarantee of accuracy regarding any information presented in this wiki.

Want to Contribute?  By default, access is read-only to the wiki.  However, we welcome all HealthVault developers and partners to contribute-- if you would like to have write permissions, please send mail to hvecowik@microsoft.com with your name, email address you want to use to sign in, relationship to HealthVault (developer with company X, etc), if you have a live HealthVault application already, and reason for requesting access.  We'll follow up with you and get you connected.

Reporting Issues: as this is a wiki, the best thing to do if you see incorrect information is to go ahead and fix it yourself.  This is a collaborative project, and we can all help out.  However, if you see abusive behavior, inappropriate content, or otherwise feel like there is something that needs to be reported, please send mail to hvecowik@microsoft.com with as much information you can about the issue that needs to be addressed.
