HealthVault Integration Review

This is a simple review of your application with the HealthVault team to go over some of the functional and design points of your application. Before scheduling this review you should have already created and reviewed your application configuration (see the previous section) and completed your application development. This review uses Windows Live Meeting. Please make sure that you have the Live Meeting Client installed and running on your machine prior to the start of the review meeting. During this review, you will be asked to demo your application by sharing your desktop and demonstrating the HealthVault integration. Here are some guidelines you can use to make sure your application is ready for review:

  • Your application should not need to ask a new consumer to enter information that is already in their HealthVault record.
  • Your application should make it clear to the consumer if any information is stored outside of their HealthVault record.
  • Confirm that data entered or updated using your application is stored in the correct data types in HealthVault. You can use Mayo Clinic Health Manager to verify that your data is formatted in such a way that other applications can understand it.
  • Data entered from other applications should also be usable by your application. One way to test this is by using the X-Ray application by Get Real Consulting.
  • Online applications that send either CCR or CCD information to a consumer's HealthVault record must also redirect the consumer to the HealthVault reconciliation page using the shell redirect target, reconcile.
  • For SODA applications:
    - Application setup should have a good uninstall experience and include clearing out the application certificate.
    - Application setup must include the redistributable HealthVault SDK as part of the installer.
    - Applications should have the ability to auto-update. Applications that do not include auto-update may be disconnected from HealthVault until critical patches are applied to all clients.
  • Verify that your application configuration information is correct and accurate.
  • Review your Privacy Statement and Terms of Use to make sure they are completed as described in your partnership agreement.
  • If your application uses the HealthVault SDK then it must use a non-Beta version of the SDK. The first non-Beta version of the HealthVault .NET DLLs is version 1.0.2145.4504.
  • If your application refers to the HealthVault consumer support content, use the following links:
