This page is primarily for contributors-- for general visitors (i.e. read-only folks), please go ahead and browse the wiki content via the Table of Contents over in the right-hand navigation bar.  For those of you who are current or future contributors (or if you're just curious), read on.

Introduction

This is our wiki; this is your wiki.  It is as good as we all make it.  If you see an error, correct it.  If you see missing content, go ahead and add it.  Even if it's just the beginnings of a post, or some stub pages, all contributions are welcome.  You can start a topic, and then let other people come in and finish it for you.  Add extra examples in lists, etc, etc.

The benefit of a wiki is that it has a very low barrier to entry, and makes it easy to add and edit content.  Errors can be easily found and corrected, and out of date content can be easily revised.

What is a wiki?

Let's let Wikipedia explain that for us: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiki.

Practice / Testing

Please feel free to use the Sandbox to get some experience editing the wiki.  If you'd like to see how this all works without modifying "real" pages, or just want to try out some new edits or features, please try them over there first, verify everything works as you plan, and then go ahead and modify the main content.

Documentation

This wiki is hosted on the Telligent Evolution Platform.  Their "Using wikis" documentation can be found here:

Some of the content is not relevant to general contributors (administrator info), but many of the docs on creating pages, creating links, and wiki syntax are important to familiarize yourself with.

In particular, anyone editing or creating pages should read:

Want to Contribute?

By default, access is read-only to the wiki.  However, we welcome all HealthVault developers and partners to contribute-- if you would like to have write permissions, please send mail to hvecowik@microsoft.com with your name, email address you want to use to sign in, relationship to HealthVault (developer with company X, etc), if you have a live HealthVault application already, and reason for requesting access.  We'll follow up with you and get you connected.
